Inman Electric Motor repairs DC motors through 10,000 horsepower. Rewinding capabilities include armatures (both random and form coils), field coils and stator assemblies and interpoles or commutating coils. Other services include brush holder repair and fabrication, shaft machining, and dynamic balancing through 15,000 pounds. Commutator undercutting is performed to undercut the mica separating the copper bars so that brush wear is minimized. Electrical tests are performed as per EASA and IEEE standards, and all assembled motors are tested at full nameplate voltage.
